Recently, Xinjiang Town in Yongning District, Nanning City, achieved another milestone in its investment promotion efforts as the town government signed an agreement with Guangxi Junchang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. for a comprehensive oil crop processing project in Xinle Village.
The project involves a total investment of 50 million yuan and focuses on the deep processing of feed-grade agricultural products and edible oil. Once operational, it will address the town's shortcomings in agricultural product processing, strengthen the modern agricultural industry chain, and inject fresh momentum into the town's high-quality industrial development.
According to reports, the signed oil crop processing project is closely aligned with Xinjiang Town's agricultural characteristics, making full use of local grain, oil, and agricultural by-products through localized sourcing and processing. This approach will significantly increase the commercialization rate and added value of agricultural products.
After the project officially begins operations, it is expected to provide stable employment for more than 50 local villagers, allowing the remaining labor force to achieve "employment at their doorstep while balancing work and family responsibilities." Additionally, it will generate an annual increase of over 40,000 yuan in collective economic income for Xinle Village, continuously expanding the dual channels of villager income growth and collective benefits, effectively activating the internal driving force for rural development.
"When industry thrives, rural areas thrive. The arrival of enterprises is the best opportunity to drive village development," said Wei Zengbing, Party Secretary of Xinle Village. He noted that in the past, most of the village's agricultural products were sold externally at low prices, and villagers had to travel far for work, resulting in limited income channels. With the establishment of the high-quality agricultural product processing project, idle labor in the village now has stable employment opportunities, agricultural by-products have nearby buyers, and the village collective economy has a sustainable source of income growth.
He added that the village's Party committee and committee will fully cooperate with the town Party committee and government, ensure follow-up support for the enterprise's operations, actively encourage villagers to seek nearby employment and support the project's development, and promote village-enterprise collaboration and mutual benefit, making the industrial project a solid foundation for enriching the people and revitalizing the village.
The signing of this key project is one of the achievements of Xinjiang Town's targeted investment promotion and business environment optimization. Investment promotion focuses on implementation and values service. Since the beginning of this year, Xinjiang Town has adhered to the investment philosophy of "attracting, retaining, and developing well," prioritizing implementation quality over the number of contracts signed, and integrating high-quality business services throughout the entire process of enterprise introduction, construction, and operation.
The town has established a comprehensive investment service system led by key officials, managed by designated leaders, and supported by village cadres on the front lines. The establishment of high-quality projects has taken root and genuinely benefited people's livelihoods and empowered rural areas.
Relying on the continuous arrival of agricultural product processing enterprises, Xinjiang Town has successfully established a closed-loop industrial chain of "agricultural planting—deep processing—nearby employment—collective income growth," effectively revitalizing local agricultural resources and transforming the previous situation of extensive selling and low added value of agricultural products.
Huang Changxi, a farmer in Xinle Village, planted 10 mu of bamboo forest and often digs bamboo shoots to sell during harvest season. He said, "Now it's much more convenient to sell agricultural products! In the past, we had to haul fruits and vegetables to the town market to find buyers, and if the market was bad, we could easily be stuck with unsold goods. Now, after digging bamboo shoots, I can ride a tricycle to a nearby processing enterprise in just a few minutes, get them weighed on the spot, and receive payment immediately at a fair and stable price. When I dig over 100 kilograms of bamboo shoots and take them to the processing enterprise the same day, I can earn more than 300 yuan."
