According to a research report, Citi has lowered its price target for HARBIN ELECTRIC (01133) to HK$24, while maintaining a "Buy" rating.
The bank reduced the target price from HK$30 to HK$24, a 20% decrease, which corresponds to a 12 times price-to-earnings ratio for the forecasted 2027 fiscal year.
Citi noted that HARBIN ELECTRIC's first-half performance exceeded expectations. The company is expected to benefit from new hydropower and nuclear power capacity additions under China's fifteenth Five-Year Plan. The bank anticipates that increased contributions from these areas will offset the decline in revenue from coal-fired power generation.
The firm has raised its net profit forecasts for 2026 to 2028 by 2% to 8%, reflecting the better-than-expected first-half results.
