On November 4th, Wang Xiaoming, Secretary of the County Party Committee, visited the Lüliang City branches of China Unicom and China Telecom to hold discussions and exchanges focused on green electricity and computing power coordination, digital economy development, and the cultivation of new quality productive forces, exploring new paths for enterprise-local cooperation and jointly planning new measures for the high-quality development of emerging industries.
Xu Chun, Party Secretary and General Manager of the Lüliang City branch of China Unicom, and Shi Xiufeng, General Manager of the Lüliang City branch of China Telecom, attended the meeting respectively. During the talks, relevant heads of the Lüliang branches of China Unicom and China Telecom respectively introduced their companies' development overviews, computing power node layouts, and related industry development situations. Attendees conducted detailed discussions and exchanges on computing power industry development planning and infrastructure implementation.
Wang Xiaoming expressed gratitude to the two major telecommunications operators for their high attention to and strong support for Lanshan County's development, and expressed expectations for cooperation between the two sides in emerging industries. He pointed out that the provincial and municipal party congresses have made arrangements for cultivating and strengthening the digital economy and accelerating the development of new quality productive forces. The county party committee must seize the opportunities of artificial intelligence development, accelerate the promotion of computing power infrastructure, and assist in the development of the county's emerging industries.
Wang Xiaoming stated that Lanshan County has outstanding comparative advantages in developing the computing power industry, possessing abundant green electricity resources, cool climate conditions, sufficient network bandwidth, and smooth computing power scheduling, with mature conditions for undertaking computing power projects. Meanwhile, Lanshan County has rich application scenarios in industry, specialty agriculture, cultural tourism, and other fields, which can provide a broad testing ground for computing power to empower the real economy. Lanshan County will deepen practical enterprise-local cooperation with the greatest sincerity and optimal services, effectively transforming Lanshan County's green electricity advantages into emerging industry advantages, and transforming the operators' professional advantages into county development momentum.
