Hassett Predicts 2026 Will Be a "Golden Year" for US Economy

Kevin Hassett, Director of the White House National Economic Council and a leading candidate for Federal Reserve Chair, stated he would be disappointed if US economic growth rates only reached 3% in Q1 and Q2 of 2026.

"3% would disappoint me. It could easily be a full percentage point higher," Hassett said during an interview with Fox Business.

He predicted 2026 would become "one of the golden years in US economic history," barring any unexpected "random black swan" events.
