On the morning of January 22, the Meituan App was updated to version 12.51.202, introducing the new "Ask Xiaotuan" AI search function. When users search for merchants or products on Meituan using this feature, they can quickly obtain authentic and accurate decision-making information, making it easier to find great places for dining and entertainment, discover more discounted products and services, and claim coupons with a single click without needing passwords. Simultaneously, the new app version also upgraded its related banner advertisement, changing from "Little Helper for a Better Life" to "Ask Meituan, We'll Arrange Everything."
A relevant Meituan representative stated that this app update to enhance the AI search function primarily aims to further meet users' local lifestyle information service needs, building upon Meituan's foundation of accurate and timely local information infrastructure. It is reported that in addition to being powered by Meituan's self-developed LongCat model, "Ask Xiaotuan" also integrates various mainstream large models tailored to different user requirements, enabling it to better accomplish diverse tasks. "Whether users issue clear commands or ambiguous, complex long sentences, 'Ask Xiaotuan' can rapidly and accurately provide users with the authentic merchant, product, or service information they need, based on information such as merchant addresses, business hours, and store facilities on the platform, as well as a vast amount of genuine user reviews."
