LIGENT (09856) made its stock market debut on the first day of trading, with shares opening up 11.04%. According to the company's announcement, the offering was priced at HK$32.96 per share, with a total of 172 million shares issued, each lot comprising 100 shares. The net proceeds from the listing amount to approximately HK$5.445 billion. As of the time of writing, the stock is trading at HK$36.6, up 11.04%, with a turnover of HK$654 million.

Public information indicates that LIGENT is a well-established provider of optical communications and optical connectivity products, dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of optical modules, optical chips, and optical network terminals, serving customers both domestically and internationally. Over the past two decades, the company has leveraged its capability to produce and deliver a wide range of high-quality products to empower global cloud service providers, telecommunications and network equipment suppliers, as well as operators, covering applications in AI, cloud computing, FTTx, transmission networks, and wireless sectors.

According to data from Frost & Sullivan, in 2025, based on global optical module revenue, the company holds a 4.0% market share, ranking fifth among all specialized optical module manufacturers worldwide. In terms of optical module revenue within China, the company captures a 10.1% market share, securing the third position among all specialized optical module manufacturers globally.
