Hong Kong-listed shares of HX BLDG MAT (06655) briefly jumped more than 10%, and as of press time were up 8.49% at HK$16.1, with turnover of HK$15.1744 million.

On the news front, HX BLDG MAT released its results for the first three quarters of 2026, reporting operating revenue of RMB 29.69 billion, up 18.6% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of RMB 2.826 billion, up 41.05% year on year.

On a quarterly basis, third-quarter total operating revenue was RMB 10.192 billion, up 13.42% year on year, while third-quarter net profit attributable to the parent was RMB 1.113 billion, up 23.68% year on year.

In addition, HX BLDG MAT announced that it plans to acquire the equity of the target company, Brazil Cement Company, held by Brazil's National Steel Company (CSN).

Huatai Securities noted that the company's Q3 net profit attributable to the parent exceeded its previous forecast of RMB 950 million, mainly due to the contribution of asset disposal gains and better-than-expected volume and price performance in markets such as Central Asia.

The company continues to advance its global layout, with overseas production capacity continuing to expand, forming a virtuous cycle of "low-cost acquisitions - cost reduction and output increase - cash return." The planned acquisition of Brazil's CSN Cement is expected to open up growth space in Latin America and help continue to drive medium- to long-term profit growth.
