JinkoSolar Co-Founder and Vice Chairman Chen Kangping Resigns

On July 10th, leading solar manufacturer Jinko Solar Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 688223) announced that its board of directors had received a written resignation report from non-independent director Chen Kangping.

Chen Kangping resigned from his positions as Vice Chairman, Director, and member of the Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee for personal reasons, and will no longer hold any position within the company or its subsidiaries after his departure.

Chen's original term was scheduled to last until December 25, 2026. The announcement stated that Chen has unfulfilled public commitments, though these are not related to share purchase pledges. The company expressed high recognition and sincere gratitude for Chen's diligent efforts and outstanding contributions during his tenure.

Public information shows Chen Kangping was born in 1973 and holds a master's degree. From 2003 to 2006, he served as CFO of Zhejiang Supor Co., Ltd. From 2007 to December 2022, he was a director of JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. From December 2008 to December 2020, he served as CEO of JinkoSolar Holding. Since September 2014, he has been a director of Jinko Solar Technology Co., Ltd. Since December 2020, he has been a director of Jinko Solar Co.,Ltd., and from December 2020 to March 2026, he served as its General Manager.

In March 2026, Jinko Solar Co.,Ltd. completed a management adjustment. Chen Kangping resigned as General Manager to assume the role of Vice Chairman, focusing on corporate strategy. The new General Manager, Cao Haiyun, officially took over. Several months later, the company's senior management underwent further adjustments, leading to Chen's complete exit from the company's operational management system.

Chen Kangping is one of the actual controllers of Jinko Solar Co.,Ltd.. He, along with Chairman Li Xiande and Director Li Xianhua, constitutes a concert party. They hold an indirect 9.69% stake and collectively control 54.16% of the company's equity.
