HBM Holdings-B (02142) Forms Strategic Alliance with China National Pharmaceutical Group to Establish Joint Innovation Body

HBM Holdings-B (02142) has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm) to create the Sinopharm-HBM Innovation Consortium. This partnership will focus on research and development in the field of innovative biologics, with a strategic emphasis on therapeutic areas such as oncology and immuno-inflammatory diseases.

Under the terms of the agreement, the collaboration will span the entire lifecycle of innovative biologic drug development. HBM Holdings-B will leverage its globally leading fully human antibody technology platform, Harbour Mice®, along with its AI-enhanced research capabilities, to jointly conduct the discovery and optimization of candidate antibody molecules with Sinopharm. This includes, but is not limited to, target validation, lead antibody discovery and optimization, antibody configuration design, and antibody engineering.

Sinopharm will contribute its expertise in clinical trials, large-scale production, and commercialization. Its responsibilities will include developing commercial-scale process technologies, producing materials for clinical trials, and commercializing the products resulting from the collaboration. Both parties will share research and development costs and product rights according to agreed-upon terms.
