Eight Exemplary Projects from Hebei Province Recognized in National AI Application List

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released its 2025 list of exemplary cases for artificial intelligence applications, with eight projects from Hebei Province making the cut, placing the province tenth nationally.

This selection process sought out benchmark projects across areas such as foundational technology, industry enablement, and product application, focusing on mature, replicable AI implementations with significant industrial demonstration value.

In the foundational technology category, two projects were selected: the Hebei Mobile Shijiazhuang Intelligent Computing Resource Pool Construction and Application by China Mobile Communications Group Hebei Co., Ltd., and the High-Quality Dataset Construction and Application for IT Operations and Security Across the Xiong'an New Area by Xiong'an Group Digital City Technology Co., Ltd..

The Hebei Mobile computing resource pool boasts a scale exceeding 300 petaflops, utilizing Ascend and Kunlunxin AI chips as its computational foundation to build a full-stack technical system covering hardware, network, software, and operations. It provides customized training and inference computing power to over 40 external clients and internally supports scenarios like network operations and engineering quality inspection. The Xiong'an dataset provides core data support for city-level digital operations and security, forming a complete data ecosystem from "basic support" to "dynamic monitoring" and "active defense".

In the industry enablement category, six projects were selected. These include the Industrial Water System Digital Twin Application Based on a Steel Vertical Large Model by Hebei Xinjin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.; the Large-Scale Application of a Metallurgical Full-Process Industrial AI Large Model by Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd.; the AI-Driven Quality Inspection Upgrade for Aluminum Automotive Components by CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd.; the Intelligent Wheat Blending Process Innovation Practice by COFCO Flour Industry (Qinhuangdao) Pengtai Co., Ltd.; the AI-Enabled Semiconductor Analog Chip IP Process Migration by Chipsun Technology Co., Ltd.; and the AI-Driven Power Big Data Platform for Precise Pollution Control and Green, Low-Carbon Synergy by State Grid Hebei Electric Power Company Shijiazhuang Power Supply Company.

Xinjin Iron and Steel has achieved deep optimization of its industrial circulating water system by integrating AI large models, IoT, and cloud-edge collaboration technologies, effectively reducing overall water system operational costs and saving over 22 million yuan annually.

Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes has established an integrated "1 Platform + N Industrial Scenario Intelligent Agents" empowerment system, deploying 49 vertical industrial large models that generate an average annual direct economic benefit of more than 57 million yuan.

CITIC Dicastal has pioneered the application of AI technology to industrial X-ray inspection within the industry, constructing a high-dimensional network learning model trained on over 10 million samples. This "AI brain" for X-ray image evaluation has significantly improved defect identification efficiency and judgment accuracy, boosting efficiency by 40%.

Chipsun Technology has realized automatic process migration for analog chips based on AI technology and an experience knowledge base, successfully validated in practical projects. This breakthrough overcomes traditional manual design bottlenecks, reducing migration time for small-to-medium circuits from hours to minutes, and for large circuits from days to hours.

COFCO Flour Industry (Qinhuangdao) Pengtai Co., Ltd. has implemented an "Intelligent Wheat Blending" system. This system employs an integrated architecture of "large model + predictive algorithm + operations research optimization" to address core pain points in traditional flour production, such as heavy reliance on blending experience, significant quality fluctuations, and difficulty in cost control.

State Grid Hebei Electric Power Company Shijiazhuang Power Supply Company has built a precise pollution control system featuring "one platform, dual models" based on power big data and AI technology. It covers over 10,000 key environmental monitoring enterprises in Shijiazhuang City, integrating and analyzing more than 110 million data points on power and environmental protection. Through its "Electricity-to-Pollution Conversion" model, it enables precise monitoring and tracing of corporate pollutant discharge behavior, effectively replacing traditional, high-cost monitoring equipment.
