SICC's stock surged 13.32% during morning trading on Friday, reflecting strong investor interest in the silicon carbide sector.
The rally was primarily driven by NVIDIA's initiative to upgrade data center power architectures to 800V high-voltage DC, which significantly enhances the value and market penetration of silicon carbide (SiC) components. Research estimates project the SiC market size to expand from $3.5 billion in 2024 to $12.4 billion by 2030, with AI infrastructure expected to contribute nearly half of this incremental demand.
Further supporting the bullish sentiment, SICC has established itself as a global leader in conductive-type silicon carbide substrate materials, capturing a 27.6% market share worldwide in 2025. The company's technological edge is particularly pronounced in 8-inch wafers, where it commands a dominant 51.3% market share. SICC has also secured collaborations with more than half of the world's top ten power semiconductor device manufacturers and has successfully entered the supply chains of leading international semiconductor companies.
