On June 5th, online rumors emerged suggesting authorities in a certain region of Jiangsu province were requesting information on local enterprises' cooperative engagements with Dreame Technology. This development reportedly triggered a sharp decline in the share price of Jiamei Packaging (002969), a listed company recently acquired by Dreame founder Yu Hao, with the stock hitting the daily lower limit in afternoon trading.
An individual familiar with the matter informed reporters that the data collection was part of routine work and did not carry any particular implications.
On the same day, Yu Hao's social media account on the platform operated by Weibo Corporation (WB-SW), under the handle "Yu Hao - Loves Giving Gold," was restricted. The page indicated the action was taken for "violation of relevant laws and regulations."
As of the time of reporting, Dreame had not issued an official public response regarding these developments.
However, available information indicates Yu Hao continued to communicate normally within the company's internal messaging groups.
On the afternoon of June 5th, Yu Hao posted in a major company-wide internal group. He stated that in the first quarter of 2026, Dreame's robotic vacuum cleaners had achieved global leadership in both sales volume and revenue. "When I saw this data, I felt quite calm, thinking perhaps we should work even harder and achieve this result earlier," Yu Hao remarked. He expressed that the company would continue to focus single-mindedly on its core industrial business, persist with technological innovation, and tackle the world's most challenging markets.
Yu Hao further emphasized in his message that the company should remain undistracted in its pursuit of industrial manufacturing, delivering the best technology and products. "Our energy must be 100% focused on technology R&D and products. There are no shortcuts on the path of industry; only by being down-to-earth can one succeed. Those who walk steadily and solidly are the ones who can go the farthest," he added.
Yu Hao, born in 1987 in Nantong, Jiangsu province, is a graduate of Tsinghua University's School of Aerospace Engineering and serves as the founder and CEO of Dreame Technology. Recently, Yu Hao's high-profile public presence and the company's large-scale, cross-sector expansion moves have attracted significant attention and debate. Various remarks, including "Dreame employees lash out at CEO Yu Hao," "Yu Hao declares ambition to build the first trillion-dollar company ecosystem," "Yu Hao aims to become world's richest person within five years," "Yu Hao invites Richard Yu to join Dreame," and "Yu Hao responds to publicity controversy," have drawn market scrutiny.
