China Mobile Limited (00941) has released its interim results for the first half of fiscal year 2026, reporting total operating revenue of RMB 538.035 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.05%. Net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 78.934 billion, down 6.29% from the same period last year, with basic earnings per share of RMB 3.64. The company declared an interim dividend of RMB 2.51 per share.
The company noted that it deepened its focus on traffic monetization, refined operational strategies, and expanded套餐 data allowances. However, due to factors such as the transition between old and new growth drivers, market conditions, and adjustments to VAT tax policies, communication service revenue for the first half fell 5.7% year-on-year to RMB 350.4 billion.
Mobile customer base reached 1.011 billion, adding 5.88 million net new customers. 5G network customers totaled 687 million, an increase of 44.74 million. Mobile internet data traffic grew 16.0% year-on-year, with a significant acceleration in growth rate. Broadband internet customers reached 337 million, adding 7.70 million net new subscribers. IoT connections hit 1.511 billion, adding 29.58 million.
The company is focused on building a solid foundation for its computing power service ecosystem, strengthening the China Mobile cloud brand, and expanding the scale of its intelligent computing business. Revenue from computing power services reached RMB 52.9 billion in the first half, up 14.0% year-on-year. The mobile cloud's influence has further increased, with its public cloud revenue scale entering the top three in China's domestic market for the first time. Data center revenue was RMB 19.0 billion, up 13.2%, of which AI data center (AIDC) revenue surged 486.1%, driven by enhancements in agile delivery, computing-power coordination, and high-end operations. Intelligent computing service revenue reached RMB 5.3 billion, growing 130.1%, contributing 46.1% of the incremental revenue from computing power services. Cloud computing application revenue grew 5.9%, with mobile cloud storage revenue up 14.1%.
