The Evergrande Oasis Community in Weiping Street, Yantan District, Zigong City, established in September 2013, currently has 10 staff members, 9 of whom are women, accounting for 90% of the workforce. The community has been recognized as one of the Top Ten Volunteer Service Communities in Yandu, a National Comprehensive Disaster Reduction Demonstration Community, and an outstanding volunteer service organization in Zigong's epidemic prevention and control efforts. It has also received honors such as the Advanced Party Organization of Sichuan Province and the Sichuan Provincial Women's Civilization Post.
The community is planned to include 47 residential buildings covering 720,000 square meters, with 5,095 households. Currently, 4,770 households, approximately 13,000 residents, have moved in. The community has 7 members in its "Two Committees," 2 public welfare positions, and 1 full-time grid worker, with women making up 90% of the staff, forming a female-dominated grassroots workforce.
All female employees focus on the community's development and residents' needs, achieving remarkable results in serving residents, innovating governance, and promoting harmony, showcasing the vibrant spirit of women in the new era.
To ensure the effective implementation of the National Women's Civilization Post initiative, the community established a "1+1+N" volunteer service team. Led by the community Party secretary as the team leader and the Women's Federation chair as the deputy leader, the team includes community cadres, Party members, social workers, and resident representatives. The team prioritizes ideological and political development, organizing female employees to study the Party's policies and principles, enhancing their awareness and commitment.
Through themed study sessions, discussions, and visits, female employees are guided to recognize their responsibilities, integrating personal ideals into community development and resident services. This has fostered a culture of dedication, diligence, and healthy competition, laying a solid ideological foundation for the initiative.
In addressing the diverse needs of the community, female employees have steadfastly fulfilled their duties. As core members of community governance and services, they serve as policy promoters, conflict mediators, and文明 guides. They visit households, explaining policies and regulations in simple language to ensure effective implementation. To date, they have conducted 11 policy宣讲 sessions and distributed over 5,000 informational materials.
Leveraging their empathetic and communicative skills, they have successfully resolved over 60 disputes, earning them the affectionate title of "caring family members" among residents. They also actively participate in community environmental improvements, waste sorting, and文明 promotion activities, leading by example in advocating for文明 practices. Initiatives like the "Most Beautiful Family" and "Most Beautiful Mother-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law" awards have been organized to promote traditional virtues and community文明.
Adapting to new challenges, female employees have explored innovative approaches to community governance and services. Utilizing the "Five Elders" resources, the community established a Legal and Emotional Public Service Center, which employs a three-tiered dispute resolution and social mobilization mechanism. This center provides legal aid, policy宣传, legal knowledge lectures, and conflict mediation, empowering residents to understand and use the law effectively.
Additionally, the community has introduced and nurtured nine social organizations, including community art troupes, senior associations, and老年 universities. Through cultural festivals, folk activities, and lectures, these organizations offer educational, skill-training, psychological counseling, and recreational services, fostering a culture of mutual participation and sharing.
Through policy宣传, resident feedback collection, conflict mediation,便民 services, and文明 guidance, the community has significantly improved service quality and governance efficiency. The efforts of the female team have led to more responsive resident services, streamlined processes, and higher satisfaction levels. Grid management has become more refined, conflicts are resolved more effectively, and the community environment has become more livable, with harmonious neighborly relations.
From household visits to conflict mediation, and from policy宣讲 to brand innovation, the "women's army" of Evergrande Oasis Community has transformed ordinary roles into a broad stage for serving the public. With their dedication and resilience, they safeguard the well-being of thousands, showcasing the brilliance of women in grassroots governance in the new era.
