To enhance public awareness of beneficial policies for citizens and agriculture, and to advance the "Be Grateful to the Party, Listen to the Party, Follow the Party" public education initiative, communities in Tongliao Economic and Technological Development Zone have recently launched comprehensive policy promotion and support implementation programs. The Chuangye Community of Dianchang Street and Yulongwan Community of Binhe Street have combined their local conditions to actively carry out policy advocacy and assistance work, using diverse approaches to deliver beneficial policies directly to grassroots communities.
The Chuangye Community of Dianchang Street focused on pension insurance policies, which are of high concern to residents, organizing a special promotional event at Chuangye Community Square that attracted enthusiastic participation from numerous residents. Community workers distributed informational materials and provided face-to-face explanations, detailing core aspects of pension insurance including coverage scope, contribution standards, and benefit eligibility. They patiently addressed frequently asked questions about pension calculation methods, enrollment procedures, and supplementary payment policies. By incorporating real-world examples, they explained policy highlights and emphasized relevant government subsidy policies, helping residents truly feel the tangible benefits of these favorable policies.
Complementing the concentrated promotion efforts of Chuangye Community, Yulongwan Community of Binhe Street focused on targeted assistance, delivering policy support directly to special needs residents. Community resident Xi Shuguang, who has a fourth-level physical disability and chronic illness, cannot care for himself independently. His wife must stay home to provide full-time care and cannot work outside, leaving the family dependent solely on "Rural Special Needs Personnel Assistance and Support" aid while still managing mortgage payments, creating significant financial hardship.
After learning about this situation during routine visits, community workers proactively visited Xi Shuguang's home for face-to-face communication, thoroughly explaining policies regarding low-income borderline family recognition and assistance for disadvantaged groups. They clarified application requirements, processing procedures, and support scope, ensuring he genuinely felt the care of the Party and government.
Beyond policy explanation, the community took concrete action to provide assistance. During important occasions like Dragon Boat Festival and Spring Festival, Yulongwan Community organized staff to deliver essential living supplies including rice, flour, and cooking oil to alleviate living pressures. Considering Xi Shuguang's mobility limitations, the community assigned dedicated personnel to help prepare application materials for low-income borderline family status, tracked the approval process throughout, and actively coordinated with relevant departments.
Through multi-party efforts, Xi Shuguang was successfully recognized as a low-income borderline family in August 2025, qualifying him for corresponding policy support and providing more solid guarantees for his basic living needs.
Moving forward, the development zone will continue optimizing promotion methods and deepening assistance efforts to help more residents understand and benefit from these policies, continuously enhancing residents' sense of happiness and belonging while maintaining a strong atmosphere of "Be Grateful to the Party, Listen to the Party, Follow the Party" throughout the district.
