Shares of CANSINOBIO (06185) have risen more than 3% in trading.
As of the latest update, the stock is up 3.53% to HK$24.02, with a turnover of approximately HK$11.92 million.
The upward movement follows a company announcement on July 19th. CANSINOBIO has received a formal acceptance notice from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
The notice confirms that the regulatory body has accepted a supplemental application for the company's ACYW135 group meningococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine (MCV4), marketed under the brand name MenHibrix®.
The application seeks to expand the vaccine's approved age range. The proposal is to extend the eligible population from children aged 3 months to 6 years (83 months) to include all individuals from 3 months to 17 years old.
MenHibrix® is China's first domestically developed quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine. It received market approval in December 2021.
Its initial launch helped bridge the gap with developed nations in this vaccine sector and addressed a previous shortage of advanced vaccine options in China, providing a superior solution for preventing meningococcal disease in children aged 6 and under.
Building on its innovative profile, MenHibrix® has demonstrated robust market performance, consistently gaining market share since its introduction.
