Ping An Bank's Fuzhou Branch Fined 1.655 Million Yuan for Regulatory Breaches

Ping An Bank Co., Ltd.'s Fuzhou Branch has been penalized with a fine totaling 1.655 million yuan, as announced by the People's Bank of China's Fujian Provincial Branch.

The penalty was issued for violations across multiple regulatory areas. The branch was found to be in breach of financial statistics regulations. It also contravened account management rules. Further infractions included non-compliance with merchant acquiring business regulations. The branch additionally violated regulations concerning the prevention of counterfeit currency. A failure to conduct proper customer due diligence as required was also cited.

As a result of these violations, the People's Bank of China's Fujian Provincial Branch has issued a formal warning to Ping An Bank Co.,Ltd.'s Fuzhou Branch alongside the financial penalty.
