Pork Price in National Wholesale Markets Dips to 14.77 Yuan per Kilogram on May 18

According to monitoring data, the "200 Index of Agricultural Product Wholesale Prices" stood at 114.61 on May 18, a decrease of 0.45 points from the previous Friday. The wholesale price index for "Basket of Products" was 114.94, down 0.52 points from the previous Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price for pork in agricultural product markets was 14.77 yuan per kilogram, a 0.2% decline from last Friday. Beef was priced at 66.42 yuan per kilogram, up 0.2%; mutton was 63.87 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2%; eggs were 9.29 yuan per kilogram, up 0.7%; and dressed chicken was 16.67 yuan per kilogram, down 1.0%.

The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.16 yuan per kilogram, down 1.2% from the previous Friday. The average price for six key monitored fruits was 7.82 yuan per kilogram, down 0.8%.

For aquatic products, crucian carp was priced at 20.30 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8%; carp was 15.03 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3%; silver carp was 10.15 yuan per kilogram, up 1.9%; and large hairtail was 41.80 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3%.

Among the 46 key monitored varieties in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today compared to last Friday, the top five gainers were lettuce, pineapple, silver carp, large yellow croaker, and scallion, with increases of 2.1%, 2.0%, 1.9%, 1.8%, and 1.4%, respectively. The top five decliners were eggplant, Ya pear, cauliflower, tomato, and onion, with decreases of 4.5%, 4.1%, 3.1%, 3.0%, and 2.6%, respectively.
