Goertek Inc. to Inject 5 Billion Yuan into Goertek Optics, Strengthening Core Competitiveness in Precision Optics

Goertek Inc. (SZSE: 002241) has announced a plan to invest 5 billion yuan in cash into its subsidiary, Goertek Optics Technology Co., Ltd. (Goertek Optics). The investment is part of a capital increase where Ningbo Sunny Optical Technology Co., Ltd. will also contribute 5 billion yuan in cash. Together, these investments will subscribe to a total of 220 million yuan in new registered capital for Goertek Optics, with Goertek Inc.'s portion being 110 million yuan.

Following this capital injection, Goertek Optics' registered capital will rise to 1.93 billion yuan. Goertek Inc.'s stake in the optics subsidiary will increase to 39.6676%, reinforcing its position as the largest shareholder. The capital infusion is intended to enhance Goertek Optics' financial position and operational capabilities.

This strategic move aims to position Goertek Optics to capitalize on new opportunities within the precision optics sector driven by advancements in artificial intelligence. The funds will support further expansion and development in key technology areas, including micro-nano optical components, XR optical lenses and modules, projection optical engines, and automotive optical systems. The investment is designed to solidify and strengthen the subsidiary's core competitive advantages in the field of precision optics.
