Raw coal production remained at a high level. In April, the output of raw coal by industrial enterprises was 390 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.0%, compared to no change in the same period last year in March. The average daily output was 12.85 million tons. From January to April, the output of raw coal by industrial enterprises was 1.58 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1%.
Crude oil production growth accelerated. In April, the output of crude oil by industrial enterprises was 17.94 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%, with growth accelerating by 1.0 percentage points compared to March. The average daily output was 598,000 tons. From January to April, the output of crude oil by industrial enterprises was 72.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
The decline in crude oil processing expanded. In April, the volume of crude oil processed by industrial enterprises was 54.65 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%, with the decline widening by 3.6 percentage points compared to March. The average daily processing volume was 1.822 million tons. From January to April, the volume of crude oil processed by industrial enterprises was 238.95 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%.
Natural gas production grew steadily. In April, the output of natural gas by industrial enterprises was 21.9 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%, with growth slowing by 1.1 percentage points compared to March. The average daily output was 730 million cubic meters. From January to April, the output of natural gas by industrial enterprises was 90 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%.

By energy source, in April, the growth rates of thermal power and solar power generation by industrial enterprises slowed, while hydropower growth accelerated, and the declines in nuclear power and wind power narrowed. Specifically, thermal power generation by industrial enterprises increased by 3.1% year-on-year, with growth slowing by 1.1 percentage points compared to March. Hydropower generation by industrial enterprises grew by 12.2%, with growth accelerating by 1.4 percentage points. Nuclear power generation by industrial enterprises decreased by 8.7%, with the decline narrowing by 3.1 percentage points. Wind power generation by industrial enterprises decreased by 5.0%, with the decline narrowing by 12.3 percentage points.
