On October 23, Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ASX: 601288) successfully issued its 2026 special financial bonds for agriculture, rural areas and farmers in the interbank market, with an issuance scale of 20 billion yuan, the largest issuance of this type in the market so far this year.

The bonds have a term of three years. Among them, the fixed-rate tranche was issued at a scale of 10 billion yuan with an issuance rate of 1.49%, while the floating-rate tranche was issued at a scale of 10 billion yuan, with its benchmark rate linked to the seven-day weighted average interbank pledged repo rate for depository institutions (DR007), and an issuance rate of 1.52%.

This issuance attracted active subscriptions from investors including large state-owned commercial banks, joint-stock banks, insurance companies, city commercial banks, rural commercial banks, fund companies and securities firms, fully reflecting the market's recognition of Agricultural Bank of China Limited's (ASX: 601288) capacity and level of service in rural revitalization.

The proceeds from this bond issuance will closely follow the country's strategic deployment to accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, be used to extend agriculture-related loans in relevant fields, enhance the effectiveness of financial services that strengthen agriculture, benefit farmers and enrich rural residents, and contribute financial strength to the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.
