The S&P 500 index has once again fallen below its closely watched 50-day moving average, a key technical indicator, as pressure mounts from a decline in technology stocks and persistently high inflation data.
The benchmark index also dropped below the Fibonacci retracement level of 6,850.62. A closing price beneath these levels could potentially exert further downward pressure on the market.
