King International Investment (00928) has announced that the company received a winding-up petition. The petition was filed against the company by Huang Xiaojun (the petitioner) at the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on February 27, 2026. It applies for the winding-up of the company under the provisions of the Hong Kong Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance, Chapter 32.

The petition relates to an overdue payment of the principal amount of HK$259,862.36. This amount stems from an employment contract entered into on September 5, 2023, between the petitioner and the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Lianhe Medical (Hong Kong) Limited. A hearing for the petition has been scheduled for May 13, 2026.

The company stated it is currently seeking legal advice regarding the matter and intends to actively defend against the petition. In light of the petition, the company may consider at a later stage whether it is necessary to apply to the Hong Kong High Court for a validation order.
