SAIC Motor Corporation Limited held a delivery ceremony for its 100 millionth global user, becoming the first Chinese automotive group to surpass cumulative production and sales of 100 million vehicles. The milestone vehicle delivered was the IM LS9 Hyper.
The IM LS9 Hyper is equipped with next-generation chassis technology, featuring industry-first full line-control four-wheel steering within its class. It incorporates next-generation intelligent driving hardware, including a 520-line super-view LiDAR and NVIDIA's Thor chip. The vehicle also utilizes a next-generation three-electric system, comprising an 800V high-voltage platform and the Hengxing Super Range Extender. It is fully pre-equipped with redundant capabilities designed for the continuous evolution of L3 and higher-level autonomous driving. Additionally, the LS9 Hyper is the first model to feature SAIC's Gold Standard Hurricane three-motor system, enabling it to achieve performance figures placing it in the "3-second club." In collaboration with the Purple Mountain Laboratory, it also debuts "endogenous security" technology.
The 100 millionth user is Cao Xudong, CEO of Momenta, who is also a core strategic partner of SAIC in the field of intelligent driving. The co-developed intelligent driving technology has already been applied to multiple brands under SAIC's autonomous and joint venture portfolios.
The delivery ceremony showcased the coordinated efforts of SAIC's full brand and product matrix. Its proprietary brands were fully represented, with models like the Shangjie Z7, Huajing S, Roewe M7, MG4 semi-solid-state battery version, Wuling Xingguang 560, Maxus eDeliver5, Hongyan heavy-duty truck, Yuejin Dana T1, Sunwin pure electric bus, and Iveco Juxing EV being delivered, covering diverse scenarios from personal mobility and family life to commercial operations and logistics. Joint venture brands highlighted achievements under the "Joint Venture 2.0" initiative. The Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X, which will globally debut Momenta's R7 reinforcement learning world model, has seen deliveries exceed 7,000 units within one month of launch. The AUDI E7X is planned to become Audi's first global model to achieve L3-level autonomous driving. The Buick Zhijing E7, built on the "Xiaoyao" super-fusion architecture, has surpassed 10,000 deliveries in its first month on the market.
SAIC's products and services are available in over 170 countries and regions, with cumulative overseas sales exceeding 7 million units. Currently, SAIC operates more than 100 parts production bases and over 3,000 dealer networks overseas. It has established three major R&D innovation centers, including one in London, and four manufacturing centers in Thailand, Indonesia, India, and Pakistan. Anji Logistics, part of SAIC, operates a fleet of 42 various roll-on/roll-off vessels with eight international routes covering Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
