On the news front, on July 17, PEGBIO CO-B, Shanghai Tengrui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Alibaba Health (00241) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hangzhou. The three parties will leverage their respective strengths in innovative drug R&D, professional commercialization, and digital healthcare services to jointly advance the online accessibility and patient services for the China-developed Class 1 innovative drug Pai Da Kang® (generic name: Vipeptide Injection).
According to the cooperation arrangement, Alibaba Health will utilize its full-chain service capabilities, including online consultations, prescription transfers, pharmacist reviews, professional delivery, and medication guidance, to expand the online diagnosis, treatment, and patient service scenarios for Pai Da Kang®.
In the next phase, the market's focus on Pai Da Kang® will shift from "whether the product can gain approval" to hospital coverage, doctor prescriptions, patient adherence, and the speed of market penetration driven by online and offline synergy.
For PEGBIO CO-B, this strategic collaboration with Tengrui Pharmaceutical and Alibaba Health not only further completes the commercialization blueprint for Pai Da Kang® but also sends a clearer signal. As product differentiation, a nationwide promotion network, and digital patient access gradually converge, Pai Da Kang® is accelerating its transition from the commercialization preparation phase into the real-world market validation stage, with subsequent market penetration poised for takeoff.
