The Bank of Japan stated on Thursday that Japan's financial system remains broadly stable, but emphasized the need for vigilant monitoring of developments in the Middle East and the growing influence of activities by foreign non-bank institutions.
In its Financial System Report, the central bank noted: "Stress related to credit or liquidity faced by non-bank institutions is more likely to spread to the banking sectors across multiple jurisdictions."
