Market Close: Domestic Futures Show Mixed Performance With SC Crude Surging Nearly 6%

On September 15, 2026, the domestic futures market displayed a predominantly bearish trend among major contracts, though notable gains were observed in the energy sector.

Leading the declines, container shipping (European route) futures fell nearly 4%, while synthetic rubber, glass, lithium carbonate, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) all dropped by more than 3%. Additionally, soda ash, tin, and live hog futures experienced decreases exceeding 2%.

On the upside, SC crude oil stood out with a robust increase of nearly 6%, followed by ethylene glycol (EG) which climbed over 4%. Futures for fuel oil, polyester staple fiber, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), bottle-grade chips, and asphalt all advanced by more than 2% during the trading session.
