Data reveals that since Chapter 18C, a dedicated listing pathway for specialist technology companies, officially took effect on March 31, 2023, the total number of such firms listed under this regime on the Hong Kong Main Board has reached 21.

In the first half of 2026, 13 new specialist technology companies went public, raising HKD29.823 billion. This accounted for 14.9% of the total number of new listings (87) during the period and 14.2% of the total IPO fundraising (HKD210.195 billion).

The 13 specialist tech companies that listed in the first half of 2026 raised HKD29.823 billion, representing 14.9% of the period's 87 new listings and 14.2% of the total HKD210.195 billion raised via IPOs.

Cumulative Figures Since Inception

Since the first listing under Chapter 18C by XTALPI (SEHK: 02228) on June 13, 2024, a cumulative total of 21 specialist technology companies have now gone public via this route. Collectively, they have raised HKD38.740 billion through IPOs, averaging HKD1.845 billion per listing.

Current Application and Listing Status (as of June 30, 2026)

As of June 30, 2026, there are 14 specialist technology companies with active listing applications. It is noted that some companies initially filed under Chapter 18C but may not be classified as such upon subsequent application submissions.
