SC completes US$1.26 billion buy-back to date with latest 0.74 million-share repurchase

Standard Chartered PLC (SC) continued its 2026 share buy-back programme on 4 June, purchasing 737,628 ordinary shares for cancellation. The move forms part of the plan first announced on 24 February 2026.

Key details of the 4 June transaction: • Volume-weighted average price: 1,934.26 pence • Price range: 1,861.00 pence – 2,025.00 pence

Trading-venue breakdown: • London Stock Exchange: 443,047 shares at a VWAP of 1,934.38 pence • CBOE BXE: 147,340 shares at 1,934.11 pence • CBOE CXE: 147,241 shares at 1,934.06 pence

Cumulative progress: As of the London close on 3 June 2026, SC had deployed US$1.26 billion under the ongoing buy-back.

Capital impact: Following cancellation of the latest tranche, the company’s issued share capital will stand at 2,199,405,560 ordinary shares, representing an equivalent number of voting rights.

The purchases were executed by J.P. Morgan Securities plc within pre-set parameters and in accordance with applicable UK regulations.
