China's Commerce Ministry Criticizes US Export Controls for Disrupting Global Semiconductor Supply Chains

Deep News06-04 15:21

China's Ministry of Commerce has voiced strong opposition to the United States' persistent use of export controls under the guise of national security. The ministry stated that these actions have severely harmed the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, disrupted the international economic and trade order, and significantly destabilized the global semiconductor industry's supply chains. The comments were made during a regular press conference on June 4th.

In response to questions regarding the US Commerce Department's moves to close so-called chip "regulatory loopholes," spokesperson He Yongqian emphasized that China consistently opposes such measures. The ministry urged the US to promptly correct its misguided practices, cease discriminatory actions against China, and work to maintain the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
