[Click to Register] On the morning of October 14, DIDA INC released the "2026 National Day Holiday Carpooling Travel Insight Report." The report shows that during this year's National Day holiday, carpooling travel exhibited clear structural characteristics: the proportion of station connection trips in total orders further increased, reaching 24.5% during the holiday period and peaking at 27.2% on October 3. Carpooling has become an important supplement to major transportation modes such as high-speed rail and civil aviation. At the same time, family travel scenarios such as bringing children and multi-member group travel have become more prominent, with carpooling increasingly accommodating holiday travel needs of families as a unit.

During the 2026 National Day holiday, the "station connection" value of carpooling was further highlighted. According to DIDA INC data, on regular days in September 2026, carpooling orders with destinations at airports, high-speed rail stations, bus stations and other transportation hubs accounted for approximately 21% of total carpooling orders. During the key travel period from September 28 to October 6, this proportion rose to 24.5%, with October 3 reaching a peak of 27.2%. This means that on that day, more than one out of every four carpooling trips on average was heading to a transportation hub. In terms of travel rhythm, during the two days before the holiday on September 28-29, the proportion of station orders quickly surged above 25%, reflecting the travel characteristic of "combining leave days to depart early." During the return period on October 6, this proportion rose again to 25.2%.

From a structural perspective, approximately 40% of carpooling station orders during the National Day holiday were intercity station orders. Users had both the need to travel to airports and high-speed rail stations in neighboring cities, as well as the need to return to their residences from surrounding transportation hubs. This means that during long holidays, carpooling scenarios are no longer just about one-stop direct trips to destinations, but are gradually becoming an important supplement to major transportation modes such as high-speed rail and civil aviation, bridging the "last leg" between stations and people's doorsteps.

Among the top 30 routes with the highest growth in intercity tourism orders during the National Day holiday, the top 5 were Dongguan to Heyuan, Shenzhen to Heyuan, Shenzhen to Shaoguan, Meizhou to Shenzhen, and Dongguan to Ganzhou. Among them, daily average orders from Dongguan to Heyuan increased by 600.0% compared to regular days in September, while Shenzhen to Heyuan grew by 522.1%. Meanwhile, intercity tourism remained primarily focused on short and medium distances. In intercity tourism scenarios, orders within 300 kilometers accounted for over 75.2%, while long-distance orders exceeding 400 kilometers accounted for 15.6%.

The "familization" of travel was also a major characteristic of this year's National Day carpooling. According to DIDA INC data, during the National Day holiday, the number of carpooling passengers whose order notes explicitly mentioned traveling with children, infants or babies reached 275,000. The situation of multiple children traveling together was equally prominent. Among all trips with notes mentioning children, 14.24% involved two or more children traveling together, meaning that one out of every seven trips with children was a "one adult with two or more kids" situation.
