CCB Publishes Updated Board Composition and Committee Assignments

China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB) released an update on 27 August 2026 detailing the current structure of its Board of Directors and the composition of its five specialised committees. The disclosure clarifies leadership roles following recent appointments and re-appointments.

The Board now comprises 15 members: • Executive Directors: Zhang Jinliang (Chairman), Zhang Yi (Vice-Chairman, President, Chief Compliance Officer), Sun Xiaokun and Ji Zhihong (Executive Vice President, Secretary to the Board). • Non-executive Directors: Xin Xiaodai, Li Lu, Li Li, Dou Hongquan, Cao Liqun and Shi Jian. • Independent Non-executive Directors: William Coen, Leung Kam Chung, Antony, Lord Sassoon, Lin Zhijun, Zhang Weiguo and Yang Qiang.

Committee leadership is distributed as follows: • Strategy Development Committee: chaired by Zhang Jinliang. • Audit Committee: chaired by William Coen. • Risk Management Committee: chaired by Leung Kam Chung, Antony. • Nomination and Remuneration Committee: chaired by Leung Kam Chung, Antony. • Related Party Transaction, Social Responsibility and Consumer Protection Committee: chaired by Zhang Weiguo.

Membership highlights include Vice-Chairman Zhang Yi serving on both the Strategy Development and Risk Management Committees, while Independent Non-executive Directors hold all committee chair positions except Strategy Development, reinforcing governance oversight. Yang Qiang’s committee assignments await further Board approval.

The announcement underscores CCB’s adherence to corporate governance standards by delineating clear responsibilities and maintaining a balanced mix of executive, non-executive and independent directors across its governance framework.
