The Sino-Ocean Z6 project in Beijing's CBD core area has recently secured four top-tier certifications in green and healthy building standards, both domestically and internationally. This ultra-high-rise office tower stands out as a rare example of achieving a full suite of green certifications during its construction phase.
As a premium office development by Sino-Ocean Group in the CBD, the Z6 project spans approximately 180,000 square meters with a height of 160 meters. In 2024, it became China's first ultra-high-rise office building to receive the "Net Zero Carbon Excellence Certification" under the Net Zero Carbon Building Evaluation System. Since 2025, the project has successively earned China's highest green building rating—Three-Star Green Building pre-certification, the international top-tier LEED Platinum pre-certification, and the WELL interim certification for health-focused building standards.
Ultra-high-rise buildings, known for their large scale, complex systems, and high energy consumption, present significant challenges for green technology implementation. The Z6 project addresses these challenges by integrating cutting-edge technologies across three core dimensions: sustainability, health, and net-zero carbon. It systematically overcomes bottlenecks in energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and healthy environment creation, achieving the highest levels of all target certifications during construction—demonstrating Sino-Ocean's leadership in sustainable building practices. Additionally, the project contributes to industry standards by participating in drafting the "Commercial Building Net-Zero Operation and Carbon Neutrality Evaluation Guidelines," sharing Sino-Ocean's expertise to accelerate China's transition toward low-carbon and smart buildings.
Aligned with Sino-Ocean Group's "Architecture · Health" philosophy, the Z6 project embeds green and low-carbon principles throughout its lifecycle while prioritizing human-centric office experiences. It combines health-focused design, shared spaces, and sustainability to create a next-generation headquarters environment that balances productivity, collaboration, and well-being.
Located adjacent to the CBD Central Park, the Z6 project offers premium views and features innovative amenities such as a soaring shared atrium, column-free spans, and an operable breathable curtain wall system. These elements collectively enhance workplace comfort and quality, with the project slated for completion in 2026.
