National Recognition: Nine Specialty Agricultural Products from Chaoyang Earn Prestigious Designations

Deep News09-17 20:31

Recent developments in Chaoyang's specialty agricultural brand building have brought encouraging news, as a batch of high-quality products has successfully passed rigorous national-level evaluations.

Specifically, four items have been included in the "National Famous, Special, and Superior New Agricultural Products" directory, while five others have been certified as specialty agricultural products, adding nine national "golden business cards" to the region's agricultural portfolio.

With this new addition, the total number of such recognized products in the city now stands at 36, ranking first in the province. This achievement fully underscores the exceptional natural resource advantages of the western Liaoning region and the solid progress made in the city's agricultural brand development.

The certification process was conducted with strict adherence to standards. Among the recognized items, Sanyan millet, Beisijiazi honey peach, Beipiao dried chili pepper, and Lingyuan blueberry passed reviews by government departments at various levels and relevant work agencies, followed by expert technical assessments organized by the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. These products met the requirements set forth in the "Administrative Measures for National Famous, Special, and Superior New Agricultural Products" and have been formally included in the national directory.

Meanwhile, Li Family Third Uncle vinegar, Yilong Mountain red raspberry, Huashiniao millet, Daling River salted duck egg, and Jiyi wheat flour were certified as specialty agricultural products following applications from qualified production and operation entities, reviews by agencies at multiple levels, and expert technical evaluations conducted by the same national center, in accordance with the "Technical Specifications for Specialty Agricultural Product Registration (Trial)."

Chaoyang, situated in western Liaoning, enjoys abundant sunlight and significant temperature variation between day and night. These distinctive climatic and soil conditions give rise to agricultural products of outstanding quality. The nine products recognized this time span across various categories, including grains, fruits and vegetables, condiments, poultry eggs, and processed foods. They encompass both traditional local varieties cultivated through long-standing practices and refined, deep-processed specialties, fully demonstrating the region's rich product diversity and superior quality foundation.

The titles of "National Famous, Special, and Superior New Agricultural Product" and "Specialty Agricultural Product" are authoritative brand honors conferred by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. They represent a comprehensive affirmation of a product's regional distinctiveness, quality and nutritional value, and production scale.

Receiving these certifications serves as a strong endorsement of Chaoyang's agricultural product quality at the national level. It is also expected to enhance the visibility and reputation of local specialty products, help expand market channels, boost farmers' incomes, and inject robust momentum into the revitalization of rural industries across the city.

Moving forward, the city will continue to strengthen agricultural brand cultivation, enforce strict product quality control, and delve deeper into the cultural heritage of regional farming practices. By polishing the "Chaoyang Premium Agricultural Products" regional public brand, the city aims to promote more premium local specialties from western Liaoning to markets nationwide.
