In response to recent negative rumors surrounding the Jellyfish family, the company has disclosed DNA test results for Zhang Xiaomei and Zhang Xiaoyan, along with other supporting documents.
Jellyfish stated, "We are publicly presenting the relevant test results and materials for verification. Given the cumbersome and lengthy procedures involved in obtaining various certifications, we have no intention of continuously expending effort on repeated self-justification. Due to the ongoing spread of false information, we are now providing authoritative documents collectively to clarify the facts. The facts are as presented in the disclosed materials, and we urge the public to rationally discern online information."
The disclosed DNA test results indicate that Zhang Xiaomei and Zhang Xiaoyan are "unrelated individuals." Additionally, marriage and birth certificates show that Zhang Xiaomei married Shi Changjia in January 1992, and their son Shi Jing was born in April 1993, refuting online claims of an "illegitimate child."
Simultaneously, Jellyfish also released the results of a marriage record search for its president, Shi Jing, which state that "no marriage registration record was found for the concerned party, Shi Jing."
On May 18, Jellyfish issued a "Strict Statement," noting, "Recently, rumors concerning Jellyfish Home Furnishings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'our company'), its chairman, and family members have appeared online. In the face of baseless slander and inappropriate online comments, our company has consistently exercised restraint and tolerance, unwilling to let private family matters occupy public discourse. However, as rumors continue to escalate and various malicious speculations spread, they have severely disrupted our normal business operations and caused significant harm to the personal reputations of the individuals involved."
Jellyfish further stated, "Regarding the malicious fabrication and defamation online, our company solemnly declares as follows: We have reported this matter to the public security authorities and will pursue legal action against those who fabricate, disseminate false information, and engage in malicious attacks and defamation against our company and individuals. We urge the public not to believe or spread rumors, and to jointly maintain a clean and clear online environment."
