China Gold International (02099) announced that its Jiama copper-gold polymetallic mine has not been affected by the earthquake that struck the Tibet Autonomous Region. The company reiterated its annual production guidance for the Jiama mine and expressed confidence that the mine is on track to meet that guidance.

According to official measurements by the Tibet Seismic Network and a press release from the Tibet Autonomous Region Earthquake Bureau, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred at 22:33 Beijing time on October 22, 2026, in Baqing County, Nagqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region (latitude 32.40 degrees north, longitude 93.79 degrees east), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was approximately 350 kilometers from the Jiama mine in Maizhokunggar County.

Immediately after the earthquake, the company implemented precautionary safety measures across all mining areas at the Jiama mine. Mining and ore processing operations have continued normally, with production uninterrupted. Based on production performance to date and operating plans for the remainder of the year, the company reiterated its 2026 annual production guidance for the Jiama mine, which was published on January 27, 2026, and expressed confidence that the mine is on track to meet that guidance.

Tibet Huatailong Mining Development Co., Ltd., the subsidiary that operates the Jiama mine, has donated 10 million yuan to support earthquake relief efforts in the affected areas, reflecting the company's commitment to supporting local communities in times of need. The Jiama mine has maintained safe, stable and efficient operations, with production continuing to increase during the year. Its strong output is a key contributor to the company's production outlook.

With Jiama mine operations confirmed to be normal and a strong production performance outlook expected, the company will continue to closely monitor regional conditions and will update the market on any material changes to operations or guidance.
