US Places Chinese Firms on Military List, China Responds with Criticism

Deep News06-09

On June 9, during a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian addressed a question from an AFP reporter. The reporter asked for China's comment on the United States adding several Chinese companies, including Alibaba and Byd Company Limited, to its so-called "military-related" company list.

Lin Jian stated that China consistently and firmly opposes the US practice of broadly defining national security and creating discriminatory lists under various pretexts to unreasonably suppress Chinese enterprises. He urged the US to correct its erroneous actions and cease its unjust crackdown on Chinese companies. China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its businesses.
