The public consultation draft of the Shaoguan "Greater Bay Area Computing Valley" Construction and High-Quality Development Plan for the Computing Industry has been released for feedback, outlining key steps to broaden the scale of computing infrastructure while establishing a diversified computing framework.

Per the proposal, the city aims to accelerate progress on both under-construction and planned data center projects, with particular emphasis on pushing forward the development of facilities tied to Tencent, Vanke, and Zhonglian, all of which are already underway.

The plan also calls for expediting the start of construction for data centers operated by Qinhuai Data, China Telecom's Shaotang facility, and China Investment Data. In parallel, efforts are directed at speeding up the server deployment for the 250MW computing project between Vanke, China Unicom, and Tencent.

Moreover, the draft urges China Unicom and Tencent to finalize their agreement as soon as possible to secure an additional 50MW of computing capacity. At the same time, the city seeks to accelerate the implementation of the 200MW Shaotang computing project awarded to China Telecom by Tencent.

Finally, the plan encourages Tencent to expedite the deployment of its in-house servers and continue expanding the scale of its large-scale clusters, which comprise tens of thousands of graphics processing units.
