Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Continue Downward Trend, One-Month Rate Declines 1.375 Basis Points to 2.61%

On August 7, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (HIBOR) continued their decline, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage loans, dropping by 1.375 basis points to 2.61327%.

The three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, remained unchanged at 2.90000%. The overnight rate fell by 3.554 basis points to 2.28982%.

The one-week rate decreased by 2.774 basis points to 2.38833%, while the two-week rate slipped by 2.375 basis points to 2.48000%. The two-month rate held steady at 2.80000%.

On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate saw no change, remaining at 3.17679%, and the one-year rate was also flat at 3.50000%.
