Stock News07-02 19:51

China Shenhua Energy Company Limited (ASX: 601088) has announced that two new power generation units have successfully completed their trial operations and commenced commercial service.

The 5th unit at the Dingzhou Phase III expansion project and the 5th unit at the Cangdong Phase III expansion project have both passed the 168-hour trial run. Each of these projects involves the construction of two 660-megawatt generating units.

Preparatory work for the 6th units at both the Dingzhou and Cangdong Phase III sites is progressing steadily, with plans for them to begin commercial operations in the near future.

Once fully operational, these projects are expected to significantly alleviate pressure on the regional power grid for peak regulation and heating supply. They will also enhance energy security for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
