Securing a Bountiful Harvest and Stable Supply of Essential Agricultural Products

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs convened a meeting of its Party leadership group. The meeting emphasized the need to exert all efforts in managing grain production. This includes guiding the final stages of the summer grain harvest, advancing summer planting and field management in succession, implementing key technical measures for autumn grain production, strengthening the prevention of agricultural meteorological disasters and major pest and disease outbreaks, and coordinating efforts to ensure the stable supply and pricing of agricultural materials. The goal is to secure a full-year grain harvest and ensure the stable supply of essential agricultural products like grain.

It is also crucial to enhance overall agricultural production capacity, quality, and efficiency. This involves a simultaneous focus on output and capacity, production and ecology, and increasing yields and farmers' incomes. Efforts should be coordinated to develop technology-driven, green, quality-oriented, and branded agriculture. High-standard farmland construction should be advanced with high quality, and the promotion of efficient water-saving agriculture should be vigorously pursued. The agricultural structure should be rationally optimized, and the broader concepts of agriculture and food sources should be consistently implemented. This will drive the cultivation of superior varieties, improvement of quality, creation of brands, and standardized production, ultimately building agriculture into a modern, large-scale industry.
