On 2 February 2026, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”) (Stock Code: 00386) issued a reminder regarding the newly adopted electronic dissemination of corporate communications. According to the amended Rule 2.07A of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, which came into effect on 31 December 2023, Sinopec is encouraging shareholders to access important corporate documents online instead of relying on physical copies.
All future corporate communications will be posted in both English and Chinese on Sinopec’s official website (www.sinopec.com) and the HKExnews website (www.hkexnews.hk). Printed versions of these documents, including annual reports, interim reports, notices of meetings, circulars, and proxy forms, will only be dispatched upon receipt of written instructions. Otherwise, no printed copies of either the corporate communications or related notification letters will be sent.
Sinopec is also soliciting shareholder email addresses to enable timely receipt of “Actionable Corporate Communications.” Shareholders are encouraged to provide valid email addresses using the personalized QR code on the enclosed reply form or to submit the form directly to Sinopec’s H share registrar. If no functional email address is received, Sinopec will continue to deliver Actionable Corporate Communications in printed form until relevant information is furnished.
The reminder concludes by noting that requests to receive printed copies remain valid for one year unless revoked or superseded. Inquiries can be directed to the service hotline at (852) 2862 8688 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
