China Wacan Shareholders Back 99.997% Vote to Rename Company Junwea Group (China)

Bulletin Express04-29 18:03

China Wacan Group Company Limited secured decisive shareholder approval on 29 April 2026 to change its English name to “Junwea Group (China) Company Limited” and its Chinese name to “巨美集團(中國)股份有限公司”.

The special resolution passed with 317.84 million votes in favour, representing 99.9969% of total votes cast, against 0.01 million votes (0.0031%). As more than 75% of votes supported the motion, the resolution achieved the threshold for a special resolution.

At the time of the extraordinary general meeting (EGM), China Wacan had 509.72 million issued and fully paid-up shares, all of which were eligible to vote. No shareholders were required to abstain, and none had indicated opposition prior to the meeting.

Implementation of the name change remains conditional on approval by the Registrar of Companies in the Cayman Islands. Boardroom Share Registrars (HK) Limited acted as the poll scrutineer, and all six directors—including Chairman and Executive Director Zhou Zhenlin—attended the EGM in person or via electronic means.

The authorised directors or the company secretary are empowered to handle all registrations, filings and ancillary actions necessary to finalise the new corporate identity.
