From October 31 to November 4, the 140th Canton Fair hosted the third phase of its offline exhibition, where SHEIN made its appearance to conduct on-site procurement and trade negotiations.
The latest figures show that during the first three quarters of 2026, SHEIN carried out 440 supplier empowerment training sessions, with supplier participation exceeding 44,000 business instances. As of the end of September, SHEIN had cumulatively developed more than 200 innovative tools and intelligent devices, delivering 12,000 units to its suppliers.
According to SHEIN's recruitment staff, the apparel categories sought at this edition of the Canton Fair for the company's own brand include formal gowns, menswear, denim, women's standard and plus-size ready-to-wear, lingerie, sleepwear, children's clothing, swimwear, and sportswear. Taking the formal gown segment, which represents a global market worth tens of billions of dollars, as an example, SHEIN's gown category is continuing to grow across multiple markets, from Europe and the United States to the Middle East and Latin America, spanning occasions from evening banquets and wedding dresses to bridesmaid gowns, prom dresses, and mother-of-the-bride attire, with consumption scenarios constantly expanding and demand for more styles being unleashed.
For the various complex fabrics and intricate craftsmanship involved in the gown category, SHEIN also provides suppliers with specialized solutions including self-developed tools, along with on-site production management empowerment courses covering quality inspection standards and packaging and folding specifications.
As the lead unit of Guangdong Province's industry-education-evaluation skills ecosystem chain, SHEIN also offers its partner suppliers regular training support covering manufacturing, lean management, planning and development, production order allocation, and operational stock preparation. In addition to training at practical training venues such as its apparel manufacturing innovation research center in Guangzhou, SHEIN has also pioneered diverse training formats including "door-to-door teaching" visits to industrial belts, online livestreams, and online courses through its merchant learning center.
Since 2025, Guangdong has been innovatively introducing "micro-major" and "micro-certificate" talent cultivation models to deepen the integration of industry, education, and evaluation. SHEIN has now selected three job directions—quality inspection, sewing, and pattern-making—and, with the goal of "minimum onboarding skills," has designed corresponding training modules and certification systems, where one job corresponds to one or more micro-certificates, and individual skill points must meet onboarding requirements. Trainees who complete the program are entered into a talent pool, and SHEIN connects them with chain member enterprises to achieve two-way employment selection.
