Bank of Communications Completes Issuance of 40 Billion Yuan Perpetual Capital Bonds

Bank of Communications announced on May 25 that, with approval from relevant regulatory authorities, the bank has issued "Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. 2026 First Tranche Perpetual Capital Bonds (Bond Connect)" in the national interbank bond market. The issuance was successfully completed on May 25, 2026.

The total issuance size of this bond is 40 billion yuan. The coupon rate for the first five years is set at 1.94%, with adjustments every five years thereafter. The issuer holds a conditional redemption right on each interest payment date starting from the fifth year.

After deducting issuance expenses, the funds raised from this bond will be used to supplement the bank's additional tier 1 capital, in accordance with applicable laws and approvals from the competent authorities.
