At the recent kickoff meeting for its 2026/2027 fiscal year in China, the Government and Enterprise Business Group of Lenovo China announced a strategic shift. The division will evolve from operating based on clients' IT budgets to delivering tangible AI value that supports the sustainable development of their core businesses. This involves a comprehensive upgrade of products, solutions, and services, all centered on customer needs.
"Enterprise Intelligence will focus on infrastructure and solution services to accelerate the implementation of AI applications," stated Liu Jun, Executive Vice President of Lenovo Group and President of Lenovo China. He emphasized that the infrastructure business will enhance technological innovation to help clients maximize the efficiency of their computing power, while solution services will leverage Lenovo's proprietary AI engine to deliver visible AI value.
Wang Liping, Vice President of Lenovo Group and General Manager of the China Government and Enterprise Business Group, noted that as a new five-year plan begins, AI applications across various scenarios are entering a phase of explosive growth, with emerging and future industries continuing to develop. Lenovo's government and enterprise business aims to translate its technical strength into customer value through a clear product roadmap, striving to become the most trusted partner for enterprise clients.
Specific upgrades disclosed include strengthening the development of AI-native devices, deepening the integrated delivery of "computing power and solutions," and advancing specialized industry teams to cultivate specific sectors.
First, high-value products will be used to provide superior intelligent transformation solutions, fully integrating AI capabilities with AI PCs, including flagship products like the ThinkStation workstations, ThinkCentre M Master series, and ThinkPad X1 series, to maintain a leading edge in local AI computing power.
Second, in the infrastructure sector, the focus will extend beyond increasing server market share to boosting the proportion of "value products," driving rapid growth in high-margin businesses such as storage and high-performance computing. In solution services, offerings like Lenovo's consulting, premium computing services, operational maintenance, and ESG services will provide clients with full-cycle AI support from underlying computing power to cloud platforms and management.
Third, the division will concentrate on solutions such as the Urban Super Intelligent Body, Cultural Tourism Marketing Intelligent Body, and others, promoting a transition to a collaborative "co-creation and accompaniment" business model across various industry verticals including manufacturing, public utilities, internet, telecommunications, finance, and government and education.
Data from the previous fiscal year showed that Lenovo China's government and enterprise business revenue increased by 20% year-over-year. PC business maintained its top market position, while the 3S businesses—Smart Devices, Smart Infrastructure, and Solutions & Services—each achieved double-digit growth.
Wang Liping stressed that in the new fiscal year, the division will continue to pursue profitable growth in the PC business and aim to make commercial tablets number one in the Chinese market. The server business is targeted to grow at a rate exceeding the market average by double digits, and revenue from solution services is expected to achieve 20% growth.
