PetroChina Forges Strategic Partnership with Inner Mongolia Government

PetroChina Company Limited (601857.SH) has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The signing ceremony recently took place in Hohhot. According to PetroChina, the company will leverage Inner Mongolia's resource advantages in oil, gas, wind, and solar power. The partnership aims to strengthen mutual cooperation in areas including oil and gas exploration and development, new energy initiatives, and the transformation and upgrading of refining and chemical sectors. PetroChina also committed to ensuring the market supply of products such as refined oil, natural gas, and jet fuel, contributing to both national energy security and the economic and social development of Inner Mongolia.

Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee and Chairman of the Regional People's Congress Standing Committee, stated that the region will vigorously develop a modern energy economy. The goal is to promote the formation of a multi-energy complementary supply system that integrates coal, power, oil, gas, wind, and solar resources. He expressed hope that both parties would deepen strategic alignment, enhance project coordination, advance technological innovation, and facilitate the prompt implementation and effectiveness of key projects.
