MEDBOT-B's Toumai System Achieves CE Mark for Full-Specialty Remote Robotic Surgery

Stock News06-22

The self-developed Toumai endoscopic surgery robot system for remote full-specialty applications (Toumai Remote) has officially received European Union CE certification.

This certification authorizes its use in remote robotic surgeries across urology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, and gynecology, making it the world's first remote surgery robot to obtain the EU CE mark.

As the first and only commercially available remote surgery system globally to achieve application across "all specialties and all surgical procedures," Toumai Remote's commercial use has already received regulatory approval in nearly 20 countries and regions worldwide.

This latest CE certification for Toumai Remote adds market access for over 30 major European countries.

This represents another milestone breakthrough for the group in leading technological and application development within the global surgical robotics field.

It also marks the first time the European Union has formally recognized "remote surgery" as a safe, effective, and commercially viable medical model at the regulatory level.

This approval further demonstrates the core competitiveness of a domestic endoscopic surgical robot company in reaching the forefront of the global high-end medical equipment sector.

Leveraging this achievement, the group will continue to work across multiple dimensions, including industry standards, technological paradigms, commercial ecosystems, and industrial structure within the surgical robotics field.

The aim is to provide novel solutions for reshaping the balanced distribution of global medical resources.
