Deep News12-08

On December 8, Qingdao Port's annual cargo throughput exceeded 700 million tons, marking the milestone 15 days earlier than in 2024. The achievement was reached as the container vessel "MSC Eva," carrying 10,612 TEUs, completed loading and unloading operations at Qianwan Port Area.

This year, Qingdao Port has added 20 new container shipping routes, expanding its total to nearly 240 routes. These routes connect over 700 ports across more than 180 countries and regions, with over 60% serving Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP member nations.

Strengthening inland connectivity, Qingdao Port has established 54 inland ports and operates 86 sea-rail intermodal freight routes, maintaining its leading position among China's coastal ports in sea-rail container throughput.

Additionally, the port's container throughput has surpassed 30 million TEUs so far this year.
