The first enrollment phase for Gree Technical School has officially closed on August 21, drawing more than 8,000 applicants for just 300 available positions, according to a report.
An admissions officer confirmed on August 24 that the school did not set a specific cutoff score this year, instead relying on a combined assessment of applicants' high school entrance exam results and interview performance. The enrollment notice states that accepted students will be given priority access to internships and employment opportunities within Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. Of Zhuhai and its affiliated industry chain companies, but whether the inaugural class of 300 students actually secures positions there will hinge on their conduct and achievements during their time at the school.
Beyond that, the institution offers students multiple alternative pathways, including the chance to take the college entrance exam for higher education or to pursue careers at other firms. Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates will receive both a diploma and an intermediate-level technical certification. Classes are slated to begin around September 12 or 13.
